Industrial Programmer

Almex USA is seeking a Industrial Programmer for its Southern California office. Almex is a suppler of specialized technology and equipment to the global aluminum industry.

Responsibilities
Establishing system/panel control requirements form in-house process engineers and customer requirements.
Prepare electrical panel design drawings
Prepare PLC program and HMI program
Work with panel shop while panels are fabricated
Install programs into PLC and HMI computers
Go to customers site for startup (requires domestic and foreign travel)
Prepare documentation including operating manual and program documentation

Qualifications
Visual Basic 6 Programming
Knowledge of Allen Bradley family of PLCs
Ladder logic programming
Familiarity with VFD drives
Familiarity with basic NEC codes for sizing control panel components and system wiring schedules (wire and conduit sizes)
Previous electrical process and control experience, system installation and startup
Preparing control panels electrical design with CAD program

Other
Legally authorized to work in the USA
Ability to travel for overseas assignments
Industrial and metals processing background a bonus

All applicants are recommended to have a completed Bachelors Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and be able to produce supporting documentation. Masters Degree applicants are preferred.
