Castright™ – II is the premium accuracy Billet and Ingot Casting
machine utilizing PLC Program operation. The machine comes in 3 to 7.5
meters long length and 1 to 160 ton drop weight. The modular design of the
machine renders it suitable for installation above the ground, below the
ground or both. Also, the Teflon padded elevator guiding mechanism is
excellent for long life and accuracy and is applicable for brand new as
well as revamp work.
Almex offers internally guided, double
acting hydraulic cylinders for most precision casting motion.
The casting pit of the Castright II is designed in three chambers
including side well and dry well. As available space and overhead crane spacing
differ widely from plant to plant, the entire Castright II system is
virtually conceived in a modular way and design finalizations are made in
the customer's plant after extensive engineering surveys.

| Castright II - Advantages: |
High Precision for Hard & Soft
Alloys, Premium Space Compatibility, Convertible Head Base: Ingot/Billets,
Enhanced Charting capability, PLC Operated Hydraulics with back-up manual
mode, Maintenance Free Cylinder Design, Emergency Dump Mode, Extensive
Hydraulic & Water Alarms.
As continuous D.C. casting of Ingots and Billets is a multi
disciplinary function, the operator's console of the machine is provided
with all the accessory controls such as Tilt Frame, Mold Lube & Water
Controls in an integrated way along with hydraulic controls. The dedicated
computer and screen also have a provision to enter pertinent heat related
data and analyze important variables with a powerful trending Software.
The PLC programming of Castright™ II makes it very convenient to cast
hot short sensitive hard alloys as well. During the initial cold shutting
phase while beginning the drop, every second of elevator motion is
critical. The entire start-up sequence of elevator stop and go motions is
taken care of by PLC leaving the operator to other important functions
such as head level float control, tap out control etc. OMNICAST™ III
automation package can even take care of those chores.
The machine provides Operator Master
Control Panel in the following controls are integrated:
